Praise God and Thank you.

We had an appointment at the VA today for Lab work, to check and see how DH was doing after 3 months of less stress, and being a little more diligent on what he is eating (and I just have to say, I didn't nag him much at all...I did a little, but not all that much...you can ask him if you don't believe me!! LOL). We weren't suppose to hear anything until the Dr called on Friday to talk to us. This is something they do some, instead of having us actually see her, I guess it saves time, and lets them do a check on his blood work, between regular visits. So anyway, we were doing our monthly shopping...killing two birds with one stone, or should I say one tank of gas...when his cell phone rings. It was the nurse that was assigned to work with us and talk to him every week or two, to see how things were going. Now not expecting to hear from anyone from the VA till Friday morning, and just having had blood work done, getting an unexpected call from them was a little alarming for a moment, till we found out why...both of our minds went to the worst case naturally, instead of thinking it could be good news (shame on us).

Praise God it was Good News!! The nurse said she just HAD to call and tell him that his A1C (blood sugars) was down to 6.0....from 9.2 three months ago!! Yippee!!!!!! *giggle* Naturally the relief that it was good news not bad was wonderful. The knowledge that even though we ended up alienating a family member, when we " got rid of the stress" at least we know for sure that it worked, was good too.

His A1C being 6.0 is actually lower than it ever has been, since he first learned he was Diabetic, I think that's because of the extra drug they put him on, to help lower it faster, which we will request they take him off of, or at least drop the dosage this time and if he is still good in 3 months, then take him off it, because he hovered around 6.5 before the stress, and extra meds, and they always said that was good, so I would rather he go back to where he was and be taking less meds if he can.

Anyway, we are both REALLY happy about this news, we knew it would be down, because his morning sugars were down, however I didn't know they would be THAT low. To God goes the glory, and our heartfelt thanks!! Also I wanted to say Thank You to all of you friends and family members who have helped us pray for a good outcome!! Thank you so much, I know prayer is powerful, but I really LOVE it, when I get to SEE the results. Thank You so much.

Now I need to stop rambling and get on with telling about the layout! LOL This is DH's Grandparents on their wedding day...(almost sure it then anyway) and the couple behind them (we think) is his Grandmother's sister and hubby. Now I know, in family history research we should KNOW things, before we document them like this...however with Digital Scrapbooking, its SOOO easy to delete the existing journaling if we later find its wrong (since I keep the layered version of the file along with the flattened one) so I wrote it as DH told it to me, and if we find out something different I will change it. I don't have his family history as well documented as my side is, because no one on his side did as much...least not as far as I know, as my Uncle and other relatives did on mine. And naturally I haven't been concentrating on doing it either, since I discovered digi scrappin! LOL

I have to thank DH's oldest brother for this photo, and several more that he scanned in, and put on disk for us. I love this photo, and the coloring and shading on it. I did a few adjustments to it, tried to get rid of some blemishes, and took a little of the fog away, but I'm really not great at fixing photo's, so if you look close, you can still see some smudges, and or scratches on it. But still, its a beautiful photo I think. Thanks Bill!!

And just LOOK at that quilling!! LOL Can I gush, or would that be to embarrassing? Blushbutter just got her "box of quilling" into her store yesterday, and I downloaded it, and just HAD to do a layout real quick with two of the quilling corners she had made, because I knew we would be gone today, so I wouldn't be able to play. I didn't have time to try to put my own together with all the beautiful quilling pieces she included in the kit, but I doubt mine would have been as beautiful anyway. I also didn't have time to post it last night, so it had to wait till now.

What is it about quilling that I've always loved? I remember seeing some at some of the craft shows I've been do, decorating poems and the like, in frames, I never bought any, but I always admired it. Now I can make my own...granted you can't reach out and feel it raised on paper....but it sure looks like you should be able to, and if its behind glass in a frame, you wouldn't know it anyway! :)

Kit Credit: Quilling box of paper filagree, Victorian Wedding Kit and Digital Lace frames ALL by Blushbutter

I better get this layout posted around, and answer some e-mails, so I can get to bed, I was up way to early this morning (woke up a little after 5, and since I had to get up at 6 anyway, I just stayed up) and I'm really tired right now! Thanks again for all your prayers and your comments.

Lots of layouts

I did these first two last Friday, but didn't get them posted here. LOL Been busy but got a lot done, so that's ok, I guess. The picture on the first one has my Great-Grandmother some of her sisters, their friends and other family. They have ice skates in their hands and are standing on Clitherall lake in Minnesota.

This next one shows my Grandmother and my Uncle Sunny, and Uncle Larry when they were little. I think its cute how Uncle Sunny is going to give his little brother a ride on the sled.

Kit Credit for both of these is: Olde Winter Fun by Doxie Designs

This third layout is the first of a two part layout, showing some of our goats. One picture has some we sold, and the others show the two goats we bought with the money from selling the others. I love this kit, and while it doesn't scream "Goat" the colors in it do work great with the colors on the goats, so I decided I had to use it! LOL

The journaling for this layout is posted at the end of this post.

The 5th and last layout for today, shows one of our cats...my favorite one...feeding her's and another cats kittens. They were born close to the same time, and so when they were older they would just find the closest of the two moms, and start eating, so the Mom's would take turns feeding all of them. It was kinda funny to see.

Well I hope everyone had a good weekend, and will have a good week. Hopefully none of you get any of this ice that seems to be hitting a lot of the Midwest. Suppose to be getting more tonight and tomorrow, so be careful out there!

Kit Credit for last three layouts: A Tuscan Christmas by Teri Hanson/DZines

Journaling for the goat layouts: BTW I didn't take out any spaces that were on the layout or anything, so that's why there could be some strange ones on here.

Living on a farm, with animals, means you have to
get used to the fact, that you will have to say
goodbye to some animals, as you can't keep them
all. This spring we took Holstein and Blackhead
along with one of the spring babies, to the auction.

We want to get rid of most of the milk goats and get
more meat goats, so that means we decided to get
rid of the first two goats we had gotten from Dad.
They were kinda annoying because they would
butt other goats a lot, and made it hard for Galen
to walk, because they were always right there in
front of him, in the way. So he decided it was
time for them to go. We used the money we got
for them, and bought two new ones. We named them
Bossy and Chocolate. Bossy, seems to
have taken over being top goat, like
Holstein used to be, but she doesn't
try to trip Galen up, at least.

Memorial layouts

I started working on these yesterday, but they didn't really start comming together till this morning. Least not so I liked them! LOL These layouts are all about my cousin and his life. I didn't really get to see him lots because he lived in Califorina while I was growing up, but I would see him now and then when he came back for visits. I just always remember enjoying the times I did see him, and thinking he and his wife were really "fun". In later years, once I got interested in family history, him and his wife were two of the people I always knew would help out if I needed any info. They sent me some info I hadn't had on my Grandparents once or twice too. These layouts will go into my heritage album. Journaling is below.

Kit Credit: Grandma's Family Tree Album kit by Tina Williams I really like this kit of Tina's! There is lots more in it that I haven't used yet. Hopefully I can get around to using more of it soon.

I hope to work on Lara Paytons new kit tomorrow if I get time to. And then of course I won't be around all that much this weekend. Hopefully I can get a few more layouts done for my parents album next week, but we will see. Things tend to come up to stop me lately. :) My niece should be visiting me at the end of the month (or first of Aug) I am soooo looking forward to that, and can't wait!! So that will slow me down on the computer, but I know Mom and Dad will understand why their album isn't totally finished! LOL Besides I think it will be years, before I can do ALL of the pictures they have of the last 40 years! I hope everyone is having a great week!!

Journaling:

Frank Eugene Tucker, Jr. was born November 25, 1916 in Deer Creek, Minnesota to Ethel and Frank Tucker. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s degree from the University of California, Berkely.

His first job after college graduation took him to Baker, Oregon. He went out first to start the job that his Dad, Frank Sr. insisted he have before he married. Norma Whiting, his fiancĂ©e followed with Ethel Tucker, his mother, to have a wedding in the Pastor William Ferguson’s home. They were married Sept 3, 1939.

Frank and Norma spent several years in Oregon and California where Frank worked as a forester for the US Forest Service. He was a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War, and took training and attained his private pilot’s license.

Frank Tucker retired when he was 55 and they moved to Manila near the California coast in Arcata California. One of his retirement hobbies was researching family history and providing synopses of this to other interested family members.

In 2001 they moved to Missouri where they lived in Groves Retirement Center and later in an apartment in their granddaughter Teresa Boyd’s home.

Frank was an Elder in the Community of Christ church and over the years served as youth leader and even pastor. He always loved a good joke, and was known to tease anyone he thought was special, especially Norma. Frank and Norma were married for 67 years, before Frank died on July 8, 2007 in Independence Missouri. He is survived by his wife Norma, 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.

Frank (or Jr as I always knew him) will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Most of this info was taking from the information Gail, Frank and Norma’s Daughter, sent my Dad (Robin Tucker).

I've had way to much fun today!

Yep, even with a headache, and still being tired (we had a bad night last night, with DH sick and all) I did a two page layout with Blushbutters newest kit, and just had a ball. Mom sent me the photo of her Great Aunts, and her grandmother and then she also e-mailed me some stories she remembered about each of them. So this is what I did with it. The Journaling, is almost word for word, like my Mom e-mailed me. I really LOVE how this one turned out...hows that for a change! LOL I love these colors together, and Mom said the colors and the lace were perfect for them. Oh and the little round box in the lower left hand corner, is the one that Mom liked to play with at her grandmothers, she tells a little about it, in the journaling.

Ok, I decided to edit my post and put the single pages in here too, just so you can see them a little bigger....but I left the book in because I just love how they look together!!

Kit Credit: Victorian Heritage kit by Blushbutter

Journaling on 2nd page (1st page is basically just names and dates:

Kathy’s memories of the Hoath Sisters

Told by Kathleen (Heiser) Tucker

Aunt Marian's (top left picture) husband died, maybe in World War two, I'm not sure. They had one child, a boy, who was an airline pilot. Aunt Marian never remarried. As long back as I remember she owned a dry cleaners and did alterations for people. We got our cloths dry cleaned for free.

Aunt Josephine, (middle, left) she went by the name Babe so we always called her Aunt Babe. Her husband owned a grocery store (in Anthony KS) for years. They had one daughter. The daughter had a daughter and an adopted son. The daughter was older than I was a little and had a lot of nice cloths. When she outgrew them I got a lot of them.

Grandma (Elma, bottom left) had 3 children. We always loved going over to their house. I always loved that blue glass box with the stars on it. It was in the middle bedroom on an old desk. Aunt Betty said I would climb up on a chair and open the box and play with the change Grandma kept in it. Lots of nice memories of Grandma.

Aunt Stella (top, right) lived in California after she was married so I don't really remember her much other than visiting her and her family when we went to California in November before I was 12. I just remember stopping there but really nothing much about the visit.

Aunt Addie (middle, right) was older and I don't really remember her. I'm not sure when she died, but she was in her 60's when I was born, if she was still living. I knew her daughter and knew of some of the other members of the family. She lived in Anthony Kansas or I think some of the time in the country around Anthony.

Aunt Ruth never married and was a missionary to India for years. According to some info I have she was 27 years old when she first went to India. She spent the years 1916-1955 there. Of course she would come home and spend some time there through the years. I don't know how many times, but I remember her around off and on. Her dad, Great Grandpa Hoath, died in 1922 and she had just gotten home. In those years you couldn't just fly home, across the world like that for a funeral.

When Aunt Ruth came home she would bring gifts. My daughter Debbie has an Indian doll or two. I have a night light with carved ivory that lets the light show through from her, and a silver ring, and maybe 2 or 3 other things. She also would bring some of the pretty fabric home and show us how to put it on. They called the dresses Sari's. It would even be on the women's head. I remember one time when I was in high school she came to talk to the students about India and had me dress up in a Sari for the students to see how it was done. She just put it over my cloths. After I left home, she was the administrator at the new hospital in Anthony, for a while.

Aunt Marian, Aunt Ruth, and Aunt Babe (after her husband died) lived in the old Hoath place. They would pay me to come in and dust, etc. for them, a couple times a month. The house was 2 story, had a hall with stairs going up in it. You would see it when you came in the door. They also had a big long dinning room. I think I have a picture of it somewhere. The table would open up real long. Of course they had a big family when they were young and when everyone grew up and married and came home it was even bigger.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

A layout and a list of kits I got!

Well yesterday just wasn't long enough to do everything I wanted to! LOL I didn't even get any shopping done, although I did go get Vanessa's kit and sat and looked at it for a little bit. So since I didn't get the shopping I wanted to do done yesterday, I did it this morning!!

This afternoon I looked through the two disks of heritage pictures I have, looking for the best pictures to use with Blushbutters kit. Then I managed one layout with it. This is a distant cousin but we don't really know all that much about her. Mom has tried to find out more, but so far, we haven't come up with anything. So needless to say, there isn't much journaling. Would have gotten more done, but I get to looking at pictures, and forget to quit! LOL Well and also I always fiddle to much with this kind of layout, so it took awhile, but I like it! I just LOVE this blue, and the dried flowers, and embossed papers....I love it all!!

Kit Credit: Victorian Heritage kit by Blushbutter

I have to thank everyone who sent me birthday wishes...I got a ton of e-mails! LOL I tried to answer you all back, but if I missed someone I'm sorry!! I thank you so much!!! I got several digital birthday cards also, which I just love, and Vanessa made me some beautiful calling cards for my e-mails, using mostly my last kit, and old paintings. Thanks so much Vanessa, I LOVE them!!! She even put my babies, on some of them!

Yesterday a digi scrappin friend of mine sent me some money through paypal, because she knew I was going to go shopping for kits, so that added to what I could get this morning! (Thanks Jamie!!) So I ended up getting the following...some of which I got coupons for from various sources. Sorry I'm not putting all the previews up, I'm running late and need to get off here and get supper! Click on the names, to be taken to the kit, in the store where I got it.

I got Hope and Grandma's Kitchen by Tina Williams at Tina Williams Designs

I got A New Day and Poetry by Debbie Pearson at Classique Designs

I got Arabesque add on - Lavender by Silvia Romeo at

I got Celebrate Everyday by Carrie Stevens at Fish Scraps

And I got the Blended Collection, and Veranda Breeze by Misty Cato at Scrapbook - Elements

I tried to get one at Scrapbook bytes, but my computer messed up going to paypal and so the coupon I was using wouldn't let me use it again, so I have a question in to the store on how to finish the unfinished transaction, so I'm sure they will get back to me.

I also have a coupon for a free kit at Digital Scrapbook place, but haven't gone to pick one out yet. Don't you just love birthdays!!! Especially in the digital scrapbooking community, where they give out coupons for cheaper/sometimes free kits!! LOL Make sure you put your birthday in the forums ladies, that's how you sometimes get lucky!

Anyway, I got to get supper! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Template Challenge

I managed to actually do the template challenge for Tina Williams Chat this week!!! LOL This is my Great Aunt and Uncle. (Grandpa's brother) I don't remember Uncle Keith as he died when I was young, but have always loved Aunt Peggy, she is always fun to go see. From what I can figure, two of these photo's were probably taken in Minnesota around their cabin. Several family members (including my grandparents) had a cabin on the south side of Battle Lake. I sure miss going up there in the summers. Some of my favorite vacations were spent there, when I was growing up.

Kit Credit: Echoes of Yesteryear by Tina Williams - Template by Tina Williams too.

I hope to have time to work on the qp for the qp swap in Lara Payton's yahoo group today too, but we will see (if you see a preview here you will know I managed it!!). I have a few things I need to get done, before I work on it (or them if I do more than one). I don't know if I will manage anything tomorrow, as the funeral is tomorrow, so if I don't get any done today, hopefully I will sometime next week! LOL Before we know it, time will be up, and I will have missed out on the challenge.

Yeah I did it!!! LOL QP's kit credit: Romantic Memories by Lara Payton. Join her challenge on her yahoo group, and recieve all the pages, that everyone makes!!! They are 8X8 so they can still be printed on a home printer, on standard paper!!!

Lots of fun.

I've had lots of fun working with Blushbutters newest kit today!!! I didn't use if for what it was intended for but like how they turned out. This first one is of my Doxies and the rose bush that is right outside my office window. The 2nd one is my Grandpa and my Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, and Great-Great-Great Grandmother. (I hope thats right! LOL Anyway its 4 generations, starting with my Grandpa, and working back) I get confused when you get to many "Greats" in there. The Wordart is my own.

Kit Credit for 1st two layouts: St. Patrics Day Erin Isle Kit by Blushbutter

I do love working with my heritage photo's!! I also did a layout last night, but it was late when I finished so didn't want to take time to post it, so it will be the last one on here. Its of our cats. DH was getting ready to go out and feed the animals and looked out the window and saw three cats sitting on a board that sticks out from under the roof on our barn. We managed to take a picture from inside the house because we figured they would move if he went out, and they did, because then he went out to try to get closer and get a better picture but they ran inside the barn, to wait by their food dishes. LOL Oh well, it was really neat, and at least we managed to get this picture to remember it by.

Kit Credit for last layout: Jan 07 Mega Kit from Digital Divas Designs

I have also had lots of fun reading all your comments! Thank you for them BTW!!!! I am really kinda surprised at how popular these frames have been! There have been well over 500 downloads already. I don't know if the link got pirated or if everyone has actually come through my blog, but I just can't believe a group of frames could have that much intrest! LOL There are quite a few comments over on 4shared, too, and I have enjoyed reading them too, although I have to say I wish you all could put them on my blog, but at least you commented! Thanks!!! Those will get deleted if and when the link does, which is why I wish they were on my blog.

I don't know if any of you have had trouble getting the frames but feel free to let me know if 4shared doesn't work for you for some reason, I could figure out a way to get it to you, a different way. This zip file could actually be e-mailed because its less than 2mb. So e-mail me if you can't get it, and I can e-mail it to you. That is if I still have the link active, otherwise you will have to wait for everyone else to be able to get it again. My address is listed on the "Contact Me" post that is linked to, at the side of the blog.

THANK YOU for all your comments!!!!

A heritage layout

I managed to get this layout done today, while my sister-in-law who is visiting us this weekend, is out visiting others. This pictures two of my Great-Great Aunts. I really wasn't happy with this layout, I think I used to many of those flowers, but needed something there, and couldn't think of what else to put, so thats what I did. I guess my mind wasn't really on it, with having to try to hurry and do one...suppose I should have waited, and not did it, but was really wanting to scrap at least one page, since I missed yesterday, with shopping and going to the VA.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I am so in awe of Blushbutters talent!

This is a layout I just finished with Blushbutters newest kit!! I LOVE that lace!!! It looks old fashioned. I thought it was just perfect with this photo of my Great-Great Grandparents, on their 60th Anniversary. I just love that rose background too, I couldn't ever put something like that together, because mine would just look like a jumbled mess, but this is so beautiful!! Vanessa, if you were within arms reach I would just have to hug you for making this beautiful kit!!! I have to admit though I got lazy today, and didn't want to scan any of my wedding photo's in (which had been my plan) so I went looking for something else I could use! LOL But I am really glad I did, cause I love this old picture with that lace!!!!! The only bad thing about it is, the layout is kinda similar to some others I have done but shhhhh don't tell!! LOL Can't wait to have time for more layouts with this kit!!!

Kit Credit: Heathers Purple rose Mega Kit by Blushbutter

Not sure if I will have time to play tomorrow, as I have a hot date with my DH and the darn tax forms. So wish me luck on getting that taken care of for another year!!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Oh and you all are so very welcome for the kit!! Thank YOU for your comments!!
The freebie catagory to the side has some links still active in it (as long as 4 shared is working) and I have some other kits I have been thinking about posting, so just watch for them!!! They are older ones I did a year or more ago (so I don't think they are as good) but I will see about adding them a little at a time, although I don't know if I will advertise it anywhere!!

2nd Layout of mine chosen for Layout of the day!!!

I could not believe it when I turned my computer on this morning and saw that another layout of mine had been choosen for the Layout of the Day at Gotta Pixel!! The 2nd one I did yesterday was picked!! Really cool, especially since I hadn't thought either one of them yesterday was all that special! I guess that just goes to show I shouldn't be so hard on myself!

I managed to get two layouts done already today!! Don't know if I will do more or not, because its 70 right now, so I want to get outside and enjoy it for a little bit!!!! But if I have time later, I want to work on another one!

The first layout I did was with a picture of one of our goats from this spring. Her name is bunny, and she is so cute!!! The 2nd layout is my Grandpa sitting on the grass with his first two sons. I tried to make it look like you were looking out of a window and thats what you saw, but I guess you kinda have to look for it to see that! LOL Oh well. Still kinda neat. I do like that picture of my Grandpa!

DH's Family

Today was a beautiful day!! It was in the 60's and sunny, and I went out and fed the goats some turnips that DH had gotten, and they loved them! I even got the billy to come up to take a couple slices out of my hand, and while DH has been able to do that for a while, I don't get around him that much so am still surprised when he comes up to me close enough to take something out of my hand. Its really cool, that he has tamed down so well. All the goats are sooooo fat!! LOL I don't remember Dad's being this fat, but we have a different kind of grass over there, so I guess maybe that makes a difference.

These pictures are the pictures that DH's cousin gave us when he visited. Also the one layout with both pictures on it, has a picture of the shelf that he made us out of the boards of the old house. This is DH's Grandparents, and their farm house. I may have gotten the one layout to busy, but kinda wanted to do that style of a layout because the kit I used had a photo album, so I thought it would look good with several things piled around it. I used the picture of his Grandparents in it again too, because the house was theirs, so I thought it would be good to have their picture on it too. I did the other layout because I wanted a layout with just them in it. So I ended up having to do two layouts and have one picture in both of them. Oh well!! LOL

A Great Day to Scrap!!

Today seems like a great day to scrap! Its cold, and wet outside, so I actually finally turned the heat on for the first time this fall. Its not bad in my office with the door shut, but the rest of the house was kinda cool, so I figured if I was going to get anything else done, out there, this afternoon, I should get it warmed up! Its suppose to frost tonight, or tomorrow night, so I guess winter is comming! I have two layouts done already!

This first one is my Great Aunt and my Great-Grandfather by their tractor. My DH really likes this picture! LOL Course he really likes tractors! I have always kinda liked the picture too, and am not for sure of the date it was taken, but know it has to be late 1930's or early 1940's.

The 2nd layout is my Dad working in his workshop. He makes beautiful things out of wood, like boxes, lazy susans etc. You can click on the link at the top called Wood Mosaics, and see their things in their E-bay store. Here he is making some of them!

Credit for the first two is: J3 Designs Its a guy thing kit at Designs by J3

I have really managed to do several today!! Here are two more with another of Shawn's kits! I think that will be it for today though! LOL Getting close to supper time, and I have a few other things I need to do.

The first one is me when I was a baby just a month or so old. I did this one for the Scraplift challenge at The Scrap Habit. I scraplifted a layout by mkjean! The 2nd one is my Grandmother when she was about collage age, I think. Credit for both of these is: J3 Designs Its a girl thing kit at Designs by J3

Photo Shoot

Well I took some pictures today of my DH and I outside this afternoon. I really liked how this one that I used in the first layout turned out with my DH laying across some bales, so I had to scrap it right away! The only problem is the sun was bright today, so we have strange shadows on some of the pictures. Maybe next weekend we can get some indoor pictures. On the first layout, I tried to kinda make it look like the picture on the saw was painted onto it, by feathering the picture when I cut it out. It doesn't really look like a painting, but its kinda neat.
The 2nd layout is another set of my Great Great Grandparents, and my Great Grandfather with his brother.

Low on Creativity

I think I am really low on creativity right now. I didn't do anything yesterday, mostly because of a headache, but today I feel fine, and still did two boring layouts!! LOL Hopefully I will be able to start doing more interesting ones, one of these days!! This kit really seemed hard to work with for me too, which doesn't help, but still I really couldn't think of anything new and different to do on the layout. I think others who have used this kit did a much better job, but thats ok, least I did a couple of layouts today!!

The first one is my Great-Grandmothers first class as a teacher. And the 2nd one is her last class as a student. Wordart by me.

Haying season and Family ties

The first layout I did was some pictures of our haying earlier this year. It was the first hay we cut off our farm! Credit: Aug Thats Life Kit by Teri Hanson/DigiZines at Divine Digital

The 2nd layout is of my Great-Grandmothers favorite Aunt and Uncle...which if I am figureing right would make them my Great-Great-Great Aunt and Uncle. LOL I get confused sometimes at how many greats there should be! I blended two of the background papers to get that shade of brown for the background! Credit: Helens Roses and Lace by Blushbutter.

Cleaning and Layouts

Well I didn't get anymore layouts done yesterday because I had a headache all day, I just couldn't get rid of it! So I managed to sneek a couple of layouts in today between some cleaning that I had to get done! I am still running the washer, trying to wash all our dog beds scattered around the house, and our bedding, and all our rugs, and I guess I will still be running the washer tomorrow, because I haven't managed to get it all done today! Oh well, hopefully I can get several layouts done tomorrow, even with having to do that too!! We will see, I could wake up in the morning and deciede I need to do more cleaning! LOL Although I doubt that, as I really don't like to clean, so doing it alot two days in a row isn't usually something I do! Maybe later in the week, I can do more.

The first layout is my Grandpa and his brother. Credit: J3 Designs Watermelon Magic at Designs by J3

Treasures of Yesterday

I did another layout with Helen's roses and lace by Blushbutter today. The pictures are of my Great-Grandmother and her brothers and sisters. I did fade out the rose background a little bit so it wouldn't overpower the things on top of it, but its so pretty!! I love roses!! I really love this kit, and hope to do some more heritage pictures with it, because I think they look good with it! Even though alot of my heritage pictures have been with kits that arn't as bright, I love color, so want to get some color into my album too!! And this is the perfect kit for that!! And as you all know if you have read many of my posts, I LOVE LACE!! LOL And this kit has a lot of lace, although I know, I didn't use much in this layout! LOL I don't know if I will get any more layouts done today, because this took me forever for some reason, so if I do get one done, I will just edit my post and add it!

Edited: Wow this layout got picked for the Layout of the day at Gotta Pixel, Sept 10th!! Gotta Pixel gets lots of layouts in their gallery every day, so being picked is something I didn't ever figure would happen to me!! This has made my day!! LOL

Three more layouts

I managed to finish three layouts today, although one I have been working on for a few days, just couldn't get it right. Its still not fantastic to me, but I guess it will work! LOL

We found out today that my DH's sister's dog isn't doing well, he is getting really old, and can't hardly get up and keeps throwing up, so she wants us to come and get him and take him to be put down. So we will probably be headed that way after my DH gets done at the goat show at the fair this weekend. I guess its only fair because she had to drive me to the vet when we had to have our first baby boy put to sleep. I was so upset. So I won't get much Scrappin done this weekend, bummer cause I was looking forward to playing with blushbutters kits that I got the other day now that I have all the ones for Teri and Debbie done that I HAVE to do this month. Oh well I guess there is always next week! LOL

Ok the first layout is the one I have been having trouble getting it as good as I wanted. (Looking Back) Its my Great-Great Aunt in the early 1900's. Credit: Inspirations Collection: Vintage Lady (limited edition kit) by Teri Hanson/DigiZines at Divine Digital

The next two layouts are me, one at 2 yrs old and one at 3 yrs old. Credit: Cottage Garden by Deborah Vessel/Digital Designs at Divine Digital
