Cover page for 2007 book

This is the front and back cover I'm hoping its ok for my 2007 book. It took me a bit to figure out how to get it so it showed up right, in the software, I'm just hoping that it will actually BE right! I can just see my book coming, and having the pictures chopped off or something. *giggle* I'm having trouble getting it uploaded to the site, but have e-mailed them, so hopefully they can figure out how to help me soon. I liked their software, till I got to the cover...then it was a little challenging getting it figured out, but hopefully I finally managed it.

Kit Credit: St Patricks Day kit, Box of Quilling Kit, Easter Basket kit, and Snow Flakes kit ALL by Blushbutter.

I couldn't come up with another title, and that's what I've put on the title pages of my photo albums for years so I just stayed with that, for my yearly books...least for now. A few of you have wondered where I was getting the book printed at...I went with mypictales.com this time around. Hopefully I am as happy with them as I was shutterfly, because I would like to use them more, as they allow more pages, and they are cheaper. If any of you have gotten a book through them, feel free to share your opinions....and I'm sure I will share mine, once I get my book.....that is if I ever get it uploaded so I can get it. LOL Thankfully they seem to be pretty good at answering e-mails so far, as they have sent me a couple, asking questions, already, so I have hope, in that respect!

Well I have things to do, while they are figuring out the problem, so I better get busy! I hope everyone is having a great day! Thanks for your comments. :)

Tornado Season

It's that time of year, when we have to be extra watchful for those nasty tornado's. While they can happen anytime throughout the year, around here, spring is the worst time. Last night we had one of those spring thunderstorms come through, and somehow the thunder didn't wake me up like it usually does (told you I was tired LOL). I remember DH getting up, asking which windows I had left open, but I rolled over and went right back to sleep. Next thing I know, he comes in and says we are in a tornado warning, and its right around our part of the county! THAT woke me up! With my heart pounding, and silently praying that God would keep us safe, and even keep the precious home that I love safe, I got dressed, and scurried around getting a few things gathered up, in case we had to run for safety, under the house. Had to keep my camera, purse, cell phone, and EHD safe at the very least, as I'm sure you all know, so I piled all those, and my shoes and a blanket on the washer, ready to grab, on my way by. Then we went and sat in front of the TV, watching for the news on the storm...I stopped worrying a little when we saw that it was most likely east of town, instead of west (we are two miles west). We still stayed up, watching till the worst of the storm was over. Here is a story of the damage that was done in a town to the east of ours. It doesn't sound like it is near as bad as it could have been, thankfully.

I'm so lucky to have a watchful DH, he usually gets up, and makes sure a storm isn't BAD, and lets me sleep (if I can), unless there is actually something to worry about. He is a great protector, at least as much as humanly possible. He doesn't sleep well, way to much of the time, but the nights we have storms, he gets even less. Did I mention how lucky I was? LOL He even tried to call the neighbor up the road, to warn them, but they didn't answer the phone, he worries about them, as they are an older couple, and we love them. I guess they slept right through everything...the storm and the phone, and didn't know there was a storm, or a tornado warning. DH talked to them this morning and found this out. LOL Its a good thing the tornado wasn't right here!!

While I was scrappin' this morning, I happen to look out my window, just in time to see some of the goats crossing the creek, that runs through the pasture they are in. I thought it was comical, how they would jump up in an high arch over it, especially the baby, that I watched. It was high jumping, to stay out of the water, and was really cute. Then along comes our little laid back billy, ambling down to the creek, I'm sure he must have gotten in the water some, cause he jumped a little, but not much, to cross it. While there has been a nice amount in it all spring, now I'm sure its bigger, after the 3+ inches of rain (according to our neighbor, as our rain gage still isn't out after the winter) we got last night.

Ok, guess I did my rambling first, instead of telling about the layouts! LOL These are all photo's, from last year. The first one shows our barn cats, sitting on a shelf, that's in the barn, waiting for their breakfast.

Kit Credit: Cherished by Lara Payton Sorry I couldn't find it in her store, so I can't link to it.

The 2nd layout is about finally selling our old house in Polk.

Kit Credit: Craft Scrapbooking kit by Blushbutter

The 3rd layout is about the death of an old family friend/babysitter of my DH's.

Kit Credit: Taste of Romance by Monica Larson

The 4th layout (5th one I did, but not going to post the 4th, as its of a nephew, and don't need to give his grandparents an excuse to complain, that I posted his picture on the net) is of a couple goats my Dad gave us.

Kit Credit: Happiness add on by Manu. It was a freebie on her blog. (One good thing about trying to catch up quickly with past years, is I'm using more of my freebie's I have gathering dust on my computer!!!)

The 5th layout here on my blog, is the chickens eating the cat's food. They aren't suppose to, and I shewed them away, as soon as I took the picture, but I just had to get one, because Galen has the cat's so well trained, that they don't keep them away from their food. He didn't want the cats to catch the chickens and eat them, so he would get after them, whenever he saw them stalking them, so now they usually try to avoid them...unless they are trying to eat, then they just share! LOL

Kit Credit: Sweetness of Smell add on and Happiness add on, by Manu. Again, freebie's on her blog.

The 6th layout is of a huge chicken we were given last year. When I cooked it, it was like cooking a turkey.

Kit Credit: Grandma's Kitchen, and Grandma's sitting room by Tina Williams

Layout number 7 (Home) is our Farm. Actually the view from the top of our hill (Hillbilly hill as some would call it). There may be a few changes, like different buildings or something, as we added on to the barn, since this was taken, but still the view, with all that green, is beautiful!!

Kit Credit: Twilight Vows by Irene Alexeeva She is no longer at DSP, and as far as I know, not selling anywhere else just yet. So instead of linking to her store, I'll link to her blog, so you can see what she is up to, if you want. She has some freebie's there too!!

Well I was hoping to do one more layout today (I know, 8 layouts in one day, however simple they are should REALLY be enough *giggle* Least I like most of these better than the ones I did yesterday!), but I had to catch up on e-mails, which took me a while, and now its 10 and a wall of tired just hit me, so I better quit, and go to bed. Hopefully we get to sleep all night tonight, and not have any storms keep us awake!!

I hope you all have a great weekend and thanks for your comments, both on my blog, and through e-mails!! :)

Grandparents pages

I worked on Kali's grandparents pages today. The journaling isn't on the layouts because its private. I included each set of Grandparent's wedding photos, along with a photo of their kids, and of course them WITH Kali. I kinda like how they turned out.

Kit Credit: Vintage Vibrance and Rosey Recollections by Lara Payton I think Rosey Recollections was discontinued a while back.

We had a good weekend, and its lots warmer so far this week, than it was last week!! Course today, its windy, but that's not really unusual for Nebraska. Its sitting at 70 F. right now, so I'm going to have to go out and see if I can get some sun, without blowing away.

Kali said she had a good time at prom, although it was over way to soon. Once the professional pictures come in, I'll have to get those layouts done, but I'm waiting, so I can look at all of the pictures, and decide which to use. I have a ton left to do for the book anyway...just can't seem to get busy and get them done! LOL

When the Dr called DH last Friday, the first thing she said, was he could drop the extra med she put him on last time, since his blood sugar was way down, so I was happy we didn't even have to ask!! She was very pleased that it was down.

That's all the "news" I have, so I better get off the computer, I have to start some rice for supper, and go outside, till the bedding I've been washing is done, so I can make our bed. I hope everyone is having a good day.

New Furniture!!!!

We ordered a new couch and recliner a few weeks ago, and they finally got delivered this morning!!! Bright and early even, we had them by 7:30, which was amazing, course we were their first stop, but still. DH loves his new chair, AND the new couch, first of all cause its not pink, like our last one was (we got it at an auction, so didn't have a choice) and because the new one is more comfortable for taking his nap on. This is our very FIRST new couch and recliner, everything else we have had was used. Course we got them in the clearance part of the store, so they were cheaper, but that's ok, they are still new. Hopefully they will last for many years, so we don't have to replace them to soon. I had been planning on getting DH a new chair for several months, but figured we would make do with the couch for a while longer, but silly me, I found this one, and just had to get it, since we had enough in savings for it, cause it was so comfy, and DH takes naps on the couch quite often, and I like him to be comfy.

So anyway, I had to scrap a quick and simple page, so I could show you all our new furniture. Our Doxie's were enjoying the new comfort too! And the best part about it is, we had it delivered, so they did the carrying, and we didn't have to, we just watched, and then sat down and enjoyed! LOL We naturally had to pay a little extra for the delivery, but we talked them down on the price of the couch and chair enough, to more than cover the delivery cost.

Kit Credit for 1st layout: Stories of Yesteryear by Doxie Designs

The next two layouts are some of the photo's I took, of the shed getting moved the other day. Kit Credit: Autumn Beauty by Designs by Krista

As you can see, I am in that ultra simple phase of layouts again! *giggle* Or something like that, cause I didn't use all that much on any of them. I started the last two yesterday, but didn't get them finished, with doing other things too, so finished them real quick this morning.

We had to take a trip west this week, during the snowstorm we had, that didn't give us as much snow as they were thinking it would, but still enough to make the roads bad. I'm not real fond of driving long distance at 45 miles an hour (less at times)...but its better to do that, then end up in the ditch. Thankfully when we were ready to head home, the roads were clear again!!! I get really nervous traveling in bad weather, so ended up with a stress headache on the trip out. Something I had a lot of, there for a while, although thankfully not for the past few weeks. It's been so nice to not have them, even though I didn't really realize that I hadn't till I got one again (I guess I have been to happy, and busy to think about the fact that I hadn't had one! LOL). I Praise God for getting us home safely!!

I had to go help the neighbor this morning with his printer again. And I've managed to sweep most of the hard floors....and get these layouts done, so now after lunch, I can get some other things done. If I can keep on this roll I'm on, maybe I'll get quite a bit done today, we will see. I love it when I can get several things done each day, and still play on the computer too! :)

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and that the weather doesn't turn really bad for you!! Especially if it would be tornado's like went through several states this week. Take Care and thanks so much for the comments you leave me....or e-mail me!!

Finally got to work on my special project!!

Yep, this is the first page...well first page I have done, not the first page of the book....for that special project for my niece, and yes, its square!!! LOL Strange I know. I won't be doing the pages in order, just as I decide to! LOL These are several photo's of her, when she was 3 and under. I tried to pick some out, where she was with some of the many people who love her. This is a general one, Kinda for the start of a section on her younger years. I'm not totally sure how I'm going to set this up yet...I have some pages kinda figured out, but will just do most of them, as I go. It seems to be the way I work best! LOL Some of these could actually be used again, on a page with more journaling, if I want to do one, with more photo's of that kind. I have no idea how big this is going to end up....can't be more than 100 pgs! LOL I could have trouble, cause 100 pages, could add up fast!

Kit Credit: Gentle by Blushbutter

I really like how this page turned out! It took me long enough, so I should, but that doesn't always mean anything! *giggle* I love that gemstone heart I put around the title, I think it makes the page stand out more. The swirl that I put right on top of the background, doesn't show up all that much, but it did add something to the page, when I added it! I do love this kit!! The only question I have about the layout is...do the names and dates distract to much from the general layout? I like to have names and dates on all photo's....but when you have one like this with lots of photo's, it becomes hard to do it, and not make it look strange. If anyone has any opinions...or ideas how I could do it differently, yet still have them on this layout, feel free to let me know!

We got our enclosed porch back this weekend...after scrubbing (and scrubbing, and scrubbing some more) we managed to get it so I might actually go out there without shoes on...maybe....and then again, maybe not. Sorry to say, it was rather disgusting! However its nice to get it cleaned up...we are thinking about looking to see how much it would cost to buy paint that will seal the concrete though, so the stains don't show, and any smell left in it, will not keep annoying me. Once it totally airs out, we can get the daybed back out of the attic, and out there, cause Rascal used to love to sit out there on it, in the sun...and it was nice to be able to go out there and lounge at times. We need to finish the drywall...at least get it put up, whether we get it taped and mudded or not, so the drywall isn't sitting in our way. It seems there are always way to many things to do around here, but it makes life interesting I guess!!

Anyway, I better get this posted, so I can post it around and answer e-mails before its time to go to bed! LOL Thanks so much for your comments, and I hope everyone has a great week!!!!

Friendship

I finally managed to get a layout done again. Things haven't been letting me be creative around here, so I haven't gotten much done in the past week or so. I finally made myself sit down this morning and work on this layout, and I think it turned out better than I thought it was going to, with not feeling creative lately.

This is a lady who lived down the road from my parents when I was growing up. She was one of our closest neighbors and I enjoyed going to visit her. In fact, the last time I called to ask if she was up to a visit, (on one of my trips back home, after I was married) was the morning she died. I called up, and got one of her son's, and told him who I was, and why I was calling, and he said she had just died. I was naturally upset that I hadn't made it down to see her before that, and saddened that she was gone. I do enjoy the memories of her that I have from my growing up years though, and am thankful I had her for a friend.

Journaling:

When I was growing up I enjoyed
walking down the road to our
neighbors house and having a chat.
Every time I went she would serve tea
and cookies, and although I never have
been fond of hot tea, or Oreo cookies
I enjoyed the time spent with her, over
that hot cup of tea, and those hard
Oreo cookies. We would talk about
what I was doing, or learning in School,
and she would tell me what her family
was up to. She has been gone for
several years now, but I still think about
that wonderful friend I had and the
memories we made over the
tea cups. May 1993

Kit Credit: Precious Memories by Doxie Designs Thanks to my CT member, Tracey for the suggestion for the tea cup. It made me think of the times I would visit our neighbor so I had to scrap the only photo I have of her with it. I am still trying to do a little thinking on what I think the new kit needs, but am almost done with it, so in the next two or three weeks, hopefully I can get it in the store, along with some qp's from it. If you haven't already, be sure and check out my "gallery" and see the layouts my team members have put in there. They are just beautiful!!

While I was looking for the quote I used on the layout, I saw a couple friendship poems I liked, (but were to long for my layout) so I thought I would share them here today too. My BEST friend is my DH, which I think is how it should be, (and yes family can be friends too....just doesn't seem like it happens as much as it would be nice) but I enjoy all of you who read my blog and comment now and then too, and like to think of you as my friends too! So here are a couple poems for you.

Friendship is a Golden Chain
(Helen Steiner Rice)

Friendship is a golden chain -
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It's treasured more each year.

Time can't destroy its beauty
For as long as memory lives,
Years can't erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives.

For friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold!

Friendship
(B. J. Morbitzer)

There's a miracle called Friendship
That dwells within the heart,
And you don't know how it happens
Or when it gets its start.

But the happiness it brings you
Always gives a special lift,
And you realize that friendship
Is God's precious gift.

Will we actually get bad weather?

These two layouts have some of the photo's from my Wedding Rehearsal. My Brides Maids in the first one, and my Dad walking me down the isle in the filmstrip of the 2nd one...we have big grins on our face, unfortunately I don't remember what was going on, to make us smile that big. The last picture in the filmstrip is my DH and I, and don't ask me what I was doing, but I look kinda funny so I had to include it! LOL

One of these days, I may actually get back to actually working with my wedding photo's more, if I ever get caught up on my current photos! :) Course if that happens, I won't know what to do with myself, and rush out and take a bunch more!! LOL I'm silly like that!!

Kit Credit: Mother's Pansies by Doxie Designs.

This 3rd layout shows my DH, with some of his chickens following him around. Sorry for the lame title, I just thought they were kinda like puppy dogs, cause they like to follow him, hoping for handouts. Sometimes I look out the window and see him walking around outside, and then I notice the following he has, and have to laugh! LOL

Kit Credit: Catch some fun Collab kit from DSS

This last layout is my DH holding my favorite kitty up, so I could get a picture of her and her soot covered fur. We burn our trash, and she likes to crawl down into the burn barrel, before the trash gets burnt, to see if there are any little tid bits that might be good to eat. Silly kitty. LOL

Kit Credit: Delivered by Tina Williams

Well we are suppose to get snow tomorrow....course after last weekend, when we were SUPPOSE to, I have to wonder if we will! LOL I guess time will tell!! Its suppose to start bright and early in the morning, so if I'm Lucky enough to sleep past 6....kinda hard to do lately, maybe when I wake up, it will be pretty outside, with the snow falling! One of these days, the forecasters have to get it right, don't they? *giggle*

As you can see, I've been busy today, I'm really trying to get 365 layouts done for this year, don't ask me why, but I kinda wanted to earlier in the year, and I am close enough, that I could actually manage it, if I push a little. The only problem is I'm also working on another project, that takes a little to much time away from doing layouts, but hopefully it will be ready to share by the end of next week, so then I can get back to doing more layouts, than other things. We will see! LOL I would like to make my 365 layouts, so maybe I won't be silly, and try for it next year, and no, I won't be trying for more, one time of setting a "goal" is enough for me....as long as I actually make it to that goal! LOL

Anyway, that's one reason I've been working so hard at trying to do at least a couple layouts every day...well weekdays, that way I can have the weekends for my other project, along with any time I can squeeze out of my week days. Its actually a good thing, that its been cold, it gives me more time at the computer, without feeling guilty that I'm not outside!

Anyway, its after 11, and I still have e-mails to answer, so I better get this posted! Thanks for your comments, I soooo appreciate them! :)

More layouts

I have gotten several more layouts done, Yippee!! LOL Wish I could do this many every week, I'd get caught up on my photo's quickly then.

This first layout is of a tree that grows in my parents pasture, just down from their barn. I took the photo when I was over there for their 40th Anniversary, because I had my camera, and have always loved it. I think it has such a pretty shape, and always enjoyed looking at it when I was growing up.

Kit Credit: Cookery Corner, Frou-Frou Frames and Ribbon Flowers All by Lara Payton I really love these ribbon flowers of Lara's, they are big, I made them a lot smaller for my layouts, but maybe sometime I can use them large, cause they really are pretty!!

This next layout is my niece with her Mom on Mothers Day this last year. As you can see I'm really behind on my scrapping, since I'm just now doing the Mothers Day pictures!! LOL Oh well, I jump around so much, with what I scrap, its no wonder, but I guess I just have to do them as I get inspired to, if I want them to turn out half way decent.

Kit Credit: Blissful Blossoms, Ribbon Flowers, Dainty, and Folded Frames by Lara Payton

This third layout is another photo from a few weeks ago. I saw a church steeple over the trees and wanted to stop and take a picture.

Kit Credit: Beautiful Fall by Lauren Bavin. I got this kit on sale last Friday for 50% off and will get another kit for having done this layout and posting it in the gimmie more gallery at DSP. Can't beat that price, basically a buck a kit! I don't think I have ever gone into DSP, when they had a 50% off sale, I was really surprised, I figured it would be their normal 20-30% but figured least it would save me a little on that kit, and so when I got there and it was 50% off, I was shocked! LOL I could have spent major bucks in that store, but didn't have the money I wanted to spend like that, I did go find a couple others ones though, I just couldn't pass up the chance to get them at $2.00. I don't shop there as much as it would be nice to, cause they do have some really NICE kits, its just they are so tiny, I hate to spend the money on them. *giggle* I know, $4.00 isn't to bad, but when your used to the size of Blushbutters and Lara's kits, the ones at DSP really are tiny. What can I say, I'm a cheap skate through and through!

This last layout is my brother with my niece. It has a photo of the gift my niece made for him for Father's Day, and the journaling contains a letter she wrote him, which she included in the frame (gift). Journaling is below.

Kit Credit: Blessing by Tina Williams

I hope you all have a great weekend! I doubt I will be doing layouts this weekend, so probably won't be posting! Take Care, and hopefully the winter storm that is suppose to be here tonight, isn't really bad! LOL Thanks so much for all of your comments both here and through e-mails!

Journaling for the last layout:

Dad,

I love coming to your house. I enjoy
every bit of work you have me help you
with even though I don't show it. I love
carrying in the firewood for the stove
and building walls for the basement.
I have so much fun with you no matter
what we do together and I love that
about you. You are so much fun to be
around no matter what we do. One of
my favorite things to do with you is
watching movies and eating chocolate
chip cookie dough ice cream. I hope you
have a very happy Fathers Day this
year and that you have many more
to come.

I Love You Dad!!!
Happy Father's Day
June 17, 2007

The letter above was written by Kali
and put in a frame with this photo of
the two of them, and decorated with
leaves for Fathers Day. I thought it
was a wonderful gift, so thought I
would put the letter, and picture of
her gift to her dad, on here with the
picture of the two of them.

Sweet Beginnings

Well I got one layout done this morning, have some things to do this afternoon, so figured I would post it, as I doubt I will get more done.

This is my niece's cousin, no relation to me, but this picture is just darling, so had to scrap it for her!

Have a great day, no ramblings today! LOL

Moving DH's site to blogger

This layout shows my niece's little cousin. No relation to me, but I thought this photo was cute, and loved the props in it! I thought she looked like a little baby doll here and loved the baby doll that was in the kit, so thats why I titled it that!!

Kit Credit: Baby Girl Heartstrings Mega Kit by Blushbutter

Well nothing major going on today. I have been working for the past few weeks on getting my DH's website moved over to blogger, because after the first of the year his paid for service expires, and I don't want to pay for it again. I don't like it as well as blogger and as long as DH can figure out how to make blog posts (when he gets around to it, which hasn't been often this summer! LOL) he is happy with whatever. I did manage to get what we have decided to use for his store on his blog ordered today. So maybe sometime in the next month or two, we can get that all set up, and move his domain to his blog, instead of freewebs.

I actually ordered this blog store from a digital scrapbooking site, because I figured it would work good for his pdf books to. Hope I am smart enough to figure out how to set it up, once the lady sets it up on her end for me! LOL I love that its not to much more expensive for the set up and program fees (and the first year of service) than a year of freewebs was, then after that, each years renewal is waaaaay cheaper!! Anyway, if you have thought about having a digital scrapbooking store on your blog, I went with this one here. I don't know much about it yet, so can't say if I like it, or found it easy to use, but love the fact that the links will get sent out automatically, instead of having to e-mail the links, like DH has been having to do. I'm sure there were probably other places out there, that would do the same thing, but I've heard this ladies name in the digital scrapbooking community for a while now, and been subscribed to her blog, so figured I would go with her. Better than trying to figure out how to find other ones, and then not know anything about them! LOL

Christine (the lady who I ordered the blog store from) seems really nice and has already answered a lot questions I have had so I'm sure if I come up with any more that I can't find the answer to in help...she will be able to help me. So anyway, wish me luck, on figuring it all out!! LOL I will probably be starting on that (slowly) in the next week or two! :) Once I get it figured out, I will have to teach my DH to do it....hopefully! I'm not to good a teacher so that could be challenging.

Anyway, that's one of several reasons, that I haven't managed to do as much scrappin lately. Course being tired....burnt out....not in the mood hasn't helped much! LOL That's probably why I decided to get started on the moving of his site, even though we have till after the first of the year. I like to make sure its done anyway, before hand, so guess if all goes well, this will ensure it! I do still need to redo his banner, but can't pin him down on what he wants....so haven't done it yet.

Hope you all have a great weekend, doubt I will do any layouts, but who knows. I'll post them if I do!

More Wedding Photo's

I managed to get another couple pages done today with the Blushbutter kit I was playing with last week! I recolored the background to go more with my wedding colors, and did some pictures of my bridesmaids. It worked great I think! Oh I made the frame out of one of the papers, and the one on the page with me and all three of them, I used one of Blushbutters Digital Lace frames, behind the one I made, for the pretty lacy edge!

Kit Credit: Mauve Refined Ladies kit AND Digital Lace Frames both by Blushbutter Displayed in Blushbutters Display Album

Its not been a great couple of days here, so I don't have much to say, I do hope you all have a good week though. Thanks so much for your comments, both here on my blog, and through e-mail about my kit. I really appreciate them.

We got some rain finally!

This first layout is a couple pictures I got at the wedding we went to last week. They are probably two of the better pictures of the couple, yet not as good as I was hoping for, so don't know if the rest of my layouts will turn out! LOL I do like this one though. I love this kit of Tina's!!

The 2nd layout is about my name, how I got it, what it means etc. I did it for the challenge that Tina had at her crop last night at Divine digital.

Kit credit for both of the 1st two layouts is: Pretty in Pink by Tina Williams

The last layout is for the tag challenge at DigiZines Digital Den. It has a picture of my DH holding a chicken for the little grandson of our neighbors to touch.

We got some rain yesterday finally!! We hadn't had all that much in the month of July, so we were happy to get some. I'm not sure how much we got total, but at one time DH said we had gotten 3/4 of an inch, so while we didn't get lots, at least everything got a nice little drink!! DH could still go out and do some post holes for the poles on the barn, so we could still use more, but its nice we got some.

The barn is coming slowly along. The lean to part has a roof on it now, and I think all the poles are in (DH and his sister were out there a little this morning and it looks like they are) so now we get the joy of trying to get the bigger rafters up for the main part. We probably won't start that till next week, because tomorrow we have to go shopping, and this weekend the neighbor may be doing hay, so DH will help him with that. I don't do heights well, so not sure how much help I will be. I don't have good balance or something, and when I am up high, I feel like I'm swaying, and am afraid I will sway and fall off. That's why I keep my feet on the ground!! LOL With the lean to part, I could reach the rafters without climbing, so that worked good, so this next part could be interesting.

Keep a look out next week sometime, I think I will have a freebie on here from Shadow Scraps!! :) Have a great rest of the week!!!

A Much better day!

Well today was pain free!!! LOL So it was a much better day, and I wasn't a grouch all day! Lucky for everyone here that's for sure.

I played with Vanessa's kit again, the 1st layout is a well known Irish blessing that I always liked, and the 2nd one is a friend of mine when she came for a visit last year.

Kit Credit for both is: St. Patrick's Day Erin Isle Kit by Blushbutter

I got a little bit of general housework done this afternoon, and am still needed to make a shopping list for whenever we decide to go shopping. But maybe I can get that done this evening yet.

I will be making a tutorial (for Paint Shop Pro X) for the cluster frames next week, and when I get it done will post it. Sorry I can't do it this weekend. I also will in the next week or two, probably make a few more of them, because one lady suggested using different shapes. I had briefly thought of doing a circle one, but then promptly forgot about it, and Terri G suggested one with a heart, and I thought that was a cute idea and thought I would do other shapes too. So you can be on the lookout for them too....I may try to finish the other kit I was working on before I do them, but its not going to have a ton of elements cause I can't think of what to put in it! LOL Plus I want to of course do layouts in between all of this! They are still my FAVORITE thing to do!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I don't know if I will be around to post or not, but we will see! Stay Safe!

P.S. I hope you had a good birthday Dad!!

Moving Day!

LOL Ok, not really moving day (thankfully, as I LOVE our home) for us except for the fact that I put the link to this blog on my old site, so will only post here now!!! I just thought moving day made for a good heading! LOL On the off chance that freewebs gets their selves in gear and makes the blog over there the way I want it, I MAY move back, but I really am not leaning that way, just because I am cheap and don't want to pay for it when I can have this for free!! Especially since its just for me personally, and not a business. It wasn't to expensive really over there, but I just don't want to have to spend the money if I don't have to, ESPECIALLY when I don't like how the blog is set up, and that's what I use the most.

This layout is a friends granddaughter. Isn't she adorable!!!! I made everything in the layout...I fell in love with the brown and pink together in the picture so had to make a kit to go with it. Its not completely done yet...at least I would like to think of something else to add to it, but if I can't, I will put it on here as is, and you all will have to live with whats there! LOL Sorry, I am just not to good at comming up with lots of neat elements. I will leave that up to the designers out there. I don't even know what to call the kit yet.

Anyway, check back in a few days, hopefully I will have it up! If you want to for sure not miss it (if the google group is working anyway! LOL) join my google group and you will recieve my blog posts in your e-mail. The group is ONLY for getting my blog posts, its not open for you to post, so if you want to for sure read my boring blog, go join it! If you prefer to just come visit now and then, thats fine. I will get rid of the group eventually if no one wants to get the posts that way. LOL

This try for making a kit, may take me for another couple, three months. I always forget exactly how hard it is to make a full kit, with papers and elements. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad, if I would just do enough for a layout now and then, but no, I have to loose my mind, and (try to) go all out! I really don't do well at making the preview either, so when I finally get it "finished" don't laugh to hard at the preview! LOL Anyway, I hope someone can use it when I finally get it posted!

SPEAKING of a new kit, Blushbutter just posted previews on her blog of her newest! Wow, its huge!!! And my favorite color!!!!!!!! LOL Lots of purple things, Papers, ROSES and LACE. Man, how I LOVE her lace!!! She made it by request for someone who wanted a kit to work with their grandmothers wedding pictures. I saw it, and thought it was PERFECT for MY wedding pictures!!! LOL (I have so many albums started I will never get one of them finished, because I keep skipping around! LOL) These previews are it....just click on them to open it out bigger so you can see it, or click on the name Blushbutter above, to go to her blog. I don't think its in her store yet...will probably take a little while for her to get it uploaded to her store, because of how big it is, but once it is, you really should rush over and buy it, if you like purple anyway!! (and of course if you have any money! LOL)

Well thats all the news I can think of right now. I am tired so I need to get to bed, but want to post my layout through Blushbutters group first. Have a good night/day everyone!!

Oh the kit is in her store now!!!! You can go here to see it!

Its been awhile

Yeah, Yeah, I know, I haven't posted here for several days. Sorry!! LOL I haven't been scrappin. I took the weekend to do some other things and Monday we were gone most of the day....yesterday, I don't know, I guess I just got busy playing on the computer, and didn't get to layouts!

These two layouts have pictures of a friend and her son. The first one is the friend with one of her coworkers. She is dressed up for Halloween. The 2nd one is the friends son, with his "treasure" he got for Christmas.

The following was posted on my old blog to let people know I would be moving it to here!!!

I am moving my blog back to my old blog, on blogger. I don't mind freewebs, and my DH will keep his site going...for now anyway, but with this just being a personal site, I don't really want to keep paying money for it, even if its not much every year.

Actually the BIGGEST reason I don't want to pay for it is because I like how on blogger I can have links and all down the side of the blog, and when I post an entry it will e-mail the entry to one e-mail address I choose. So I got a google group, and put that e-mail address in it, so anyone who wants to always know when I post an entry, can join the group, and then will get the entry in their inbox, I thought that would be especially handy for family, although if no one seems to use it, I will get rid of it after awhile. The only bad thing about that is I could get even less comments...and I love my comments! LOL But since I won't be having the freebie links up forever...only as long as the links last, (then maybe sometimes I will update the links,) I thought I would make it so people can easiely check to see if I put a link up.

Anyway for now, I will just change the blog link up top, to go to my blog on blogger, but if I totally deciede to go that way, I will direct my domain name to there. Then my site will go back to the free one, which means I won't be able to add anything to it, because I have more pages than the free site is allowed, and it will have ads, but won't be used much, so thats ok. I will proably keep the free one for a while, just to make sure I don't want to upgrade it again in the future, but just can't see paying for it every year, when its just for me (and not exactly what I want). I will probably be changing the link in the next few days.

A Granddaughter is...

Speaking of Blushbutter, I just went to her forum this morning....like I try to do every morning, and noticed she had changed it! I had to reregister because she changed to a totaly new forum, so if you were registered there already, you will need to go back and do it again! I am sure this forum is new and improved, so it will be worth it to have switched!! I do love her new banner, that she has in it now!!

I just finished lunch and while I was eating, I got to thinking about a funny that happen the other night. Do you remember those times when you just CAN'T get something to work, and finally you ask for help......and you go to show the person who is going to help you, what is happening wrong....and it doesn't do what it has been doing, but instead, does what it's actually suppose to do? Well DH called me into his office a couple nights ago, and it happen! Now I know, its not that funny, BUT after it happen, I kinda laughed a little, and we got to talking. He then remembered something else he had been having trouble with, since we were talking about computer things, and so he went to show me that one......and it worked fine!!! Thats when i lost it! Its a good thing I was standing in the doorway, so I could lean againt the wall, because for some reason it hit me as sooooooo funny, and I about died!! I laughed so hard, I couldn't catch my breath, and I had tears streaming down my face. Had the wall not been there, I think I really would have been ROFL!! Maybe it was the look on his face, when it worked I don't know, but to me, it happening the 2nd time really hit my funny bone! I have to say, I LOVE a good laugh!!! The next day, (now that I think about it) I felt great, and got more done around the house than usual, so......hmmm.......maybe he should make me laugh THAT hard more often! Even if I can't breath to well while its happening!!

My Beautiful Niece

I already have a couple layouts done today!! If I am lucky, I will get more done this afternoon! That is if I don't decide to work on cleaning....or have something else come up. I soooo enjoyed doing these two layouts too. I just love this kit! LOL And of course working with pictures of my Niece is one of my favorite past times!!

This first one is her at her Christmas Dance. She is so Beautiful!! I blended some of the papers to get the colors, and changed the color of the rose slightly....wanted to get it closer to the color of the dress, but didn't quite manage that, but they still go ok with it I think. Mostly I am pretty happy with the layout though! The 2nd one is her when she was a baby. She was so adorable, even back then! LOL

If I manage to get any more layouts done today, I will add them below!

Ok, these here are two more!! LOL The first one is a couple friends of ours greeting each other after he got back from Iraq. The 2nd one is our goofy baby boy. Yes, I finally did a layout, with JUST him!! LOL This is over at my parents house Thanksgiving, he was sitting really strangely, and stayed that way for a while. I couldn't resist taking his picture.

Shinning Star.....And a good time with Neighbors.

This layout is me when I was 15 months old or so. Its another layout for Mom and Dad's Anniversary Album. I always kinda liked this picture of me! I was a cute child wasn't I!! Ok no I am not vain, I just like my younger pictures, alot more than the ones i take now, but then I suppose thats normal!

Well this is the only thing I got done today, because we went up to one of the NICE neighbors house (the first one to the north of us) and had lunch with them and watched the football game. Now I know what you are thinking, no I still don't like football, but I can tollerate it when it comes with being with friendly, people that DH and I like to be around. Besides, it ment DH was happy because he got to watch the game!! And it was on a big screen, which is better than he could have done had he stayed home, and our booster had been working so the channel had come in (which it isn't). It was nice to visit with them between commercials anyway!

The only bad part of the day was that when we came home we found evidence that someone had been in our house. We haven't noticed anything missing so far, which leaves us to believe it was a "fishing" expedition. And we are pretty sure it had to be someone the dogs knew. But thats ok, God will deal with them in his own time, and his own way.

Romans chapter 12 comes to mind. We have alot of work to do to live up to alot of it, but verse 19 says "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord".

A Couple Layouts to Share Finally!
